Onward to a million!
VIA #2 Hinton Alberta
Using the 200-600 Sony lens with the 2x teleconverter, yielding somewhere around 1200mm true focal length, we shot VIA#2 from about 5km away, and not to give in too easily, pushed it to almost f22 since it was very bright outside. Nice starburst attempt from the headlights there Sony.

Expecting a quiet train day, it was anything but. Testing out the new M3 cardioids with the Dead Cat screens, and the modified "clip clip" holders. Not unhappy with the results, but there was some unexpected timecode noise leakage between tracks of the Zoom. Never saw that before.
Incognito Bucyrus 22b in the sandbox

The Incognito Bucyrus 22b makes a foray into the sandbox for the first time. This is roughly a 1/14 scale excavator, designed and 3d printed in house, and armed with metal micro servos so that it might last more than 10 minutes. Enjoy!

When was this?

@@meriachee I was just there yesterday
They going about 60 knots? Pretty good zoom there.
@@olivei2484 nah, probably about 35-40 mph.
I have notice the same thing on cp . Interesting only 2 unit on the head end. No mid train or "tail end".
Not a lot of grades to the west, considering the mountains are right there!
@@meriachee Hmmm interesting. I am on the Laggan Sub. Lost of power here
@@MLWQC we see lots of time one unit. Speaks to the reliability of these units, but wholly cow, 100 cars, one engine???
Is this close to a yard or congestion area?
It's about 10 miles west pop the beginning of Edmonton. They had a clear to stop, which was odd, there was no traffic in front of them or westbound.
Where can I get one of these bodies?
We suspect that the guy who has the molds has passed away. Many (and I do mean many) attempts to contact him have gone unanswered. There is a guy in Argentina who has done a bunch of drawings that we have printed, (CL9000 - videos on this page) who is eventually doing the FMax.
@@meriachee ok thanks for the reply, I guess I'll just have to wait till it becomes available somewhere 👍
Sounds amazing!
Thank you squire. :)
Surprised he didnt smoke the clutch.
You know we can always count on Fred.
That was very cool. "forget to release the parking brakes" hahahahah!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Is it still running? If so, where at
The Alberta Railway Museum, northeast of Edmonton.
Very cool
Thank you sir!
Got hazard placards for that petrochemical trailer? BTW who does the voice over? Nice voice.
That’s the pneumonia trailer. Got radioactive placards on it. Go figure.
The voice is generated AI. They’re funny, the word interpretation can be goofy sometimes. 1/14 scale became 1/4 scale, and even spelling it out in words didn’t change the way it was read.
Cool vid! Shame about the spills on the leather seats.
Thanks. Never trust Fred or apparently, Fiona.
Ha ha ha! Some one left the keys in reach.
Outstanding...! 👍😲👍
Absolute beauty!
That is yours?? WOW!!!! That is a beauty!
No sir, thats my neighbours. I just do video for him when he sells them.
@@meriachee Darn! Still a very very VERY nice car.
Beautiful machine!
Got your boat in yet? Nice car.
He’s builds and sells them, I video them. The little Catalina has taken up a new residence in Utah. It was time.
@@meriachee Boats may come and boats may go ... All part of life.
I'm lucky enough to witnessed this last departure
Might be ugly , but cool
I have two of those engines; one I’ve modified into an army 6-axle variant, and the other is all original. They’re both custom dcc fitted, and I haven’t had any trouble with them yet. My 6-axle rs-1 works as the coal dump point switcher for the coal fired power plant.
i hope it gets repainted into BC Color's and give it a K5H/L
is the original engine ? it sounds like a General Motors engine
Yes to both questions.
Nice that someone recorded it! Good footage as well. Thanks for sharing! I flew into that Airport many a time & I thought it was Pacific Western That took over CP Air. I left Edmonton in 2010 & knew there was talk about it when I was there. So this also proves that they did. Kinda sad in a way, but for Safety is best esp with Kingsway Mall in line with Runway. What's gonna happen with site now? I would like to know.
You’re quite welcome! We used to live nearby and took the regular traffic for granted. Funny how things change…. They used to be about 100 feet up from the mall, and you’d never hear them coming.
@@meriachee Oh, There were a couple of times when I came out of the Mall ^ one landing would scare the heck out of Me.

I love this. I was hoping one of these would be preserved!
Nice it's preserved but why didn't it go to a museum in BC?
How about donating one to the Railway museum of BC in Squamish?
il est magnifique !!!!!!!!!! bravo
WOW.
Nice, sounds like Fred barking orders.
Like!
after watching this vid, I run downtown to buy another f7 (marklin Z mini-club) - thanks for this great vid - greetings to the blond f3 godness
Glad you enjoyed it!
See you later Fred/Fiona. Thanks for all the hard work!
Hmmmmmm Donuts !!! Arrrggggg
mmmmmm donuts.
You get your trailer back?
It was last seen on the highway cam in Jasper Ha Ha
And, don't give me ideas!
@@meriachee Ha ha ha! Maybe they will reward you with a load of "green" from the wet coast.
@@meriachee BTW, I am working on a small museum railway here and we are looking for 60 lb rail parts, mainly siding and switch stuff. Wonder if you know of a stash that might be available?

What the heck is made of glass down there that he broke?
This is Fred we’re watching. Whatever it was will turn up.
